  I was very grateful to have found Dobson Excavations and I highly recommend them for site works, retaining walls, stormwater and concreting jobs.  I’ve recently had extensive work done at my property, and had many different contractors/tradies on site.  I had so many issues that I was really apprehensive about finding someone who could do site works, retaining wall, stormwater drainage system, and a large concrete area.  The block is sloped, there were tight areas, existing services to avoid and a drainage plan that Council were very specific about that involved 5 large liners connecting to a council pit.   Bruce Dobson was a real gem.  Nothing seemed too big or difficult, he was honest, genuine, punctual, professional, helpful, careful, organised, and took pride in his work.  His son Jay obviously takes after him as he was the same.  They had all the equipment needed from laser levels (used extensively), diggers of different sizes, bobcats, to tip trucks, all well maintained.  Every job done was top quality, plans were read and followed, they were neat and tidy, careful in the tight areas and over existing services, machinery was coned off and excavations taped off with danger tape.  There was no damage done anywhere.  They even lifted a tree that I had been trying to save to replant up over the retaining wall and staked it for me when I just happened to mention that I didn’t know how I was going to get it up there, at no extra cost.  They charged reasonable prices and had contacts with other contractors for things like concreting and plumbing, among others, and these contractors I used and were top quality also.  I really can’t recommend them highly enough, they restored my faith in contractors/tradies, and made the last half of the works done on my block pleasurable and stress free.
